NICU Nurse Core Development Program

The NICU Nurse Core Development Program is a comprehensive program designed to develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary for new or practicing nurses to work safely and effectively in the NICU setting. The program’s three-level curriculum combines content into structured learning experiences that are outcomes-based and measurable.

Wee Care Neuroprotective NICU Program

Wee Care Neuroprotective NICU Program

The Wee Care Neuroprotective NICU Program is an 18-month clinical education and transformation program which helps hospitals develop family-centered neuroprotective developmental care practices in the NICU. The goal of the program is to minimize the deleterious effects of the intensive care experience on developing infants.

The Wee Care Neuroprotective NICU Program focuses on 7 core measures that are essential to the care of premature neonates and their families. It is designed to provide competency-based education and enhanced developmental care practices for registered nurses, physicians, neonatal nurse practitioners, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and NICU ancillary support staff.
