Course description: 

This course reviews cardiac anatomy such as chambers, valves, muscle compositions, and various other anatomical structures with in the heart. The lecture will also address the specific functions that the cardiac components are required to accomplish. Coronary anatomy is a key component of this course. Author: Toby J. Cullen

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  1. Describe the cardiovascular system and all of its components.
  2. Describe the various cardiovascular anatomical structures.
  3. Describe the conduction system of the heart.
  4. Discuss the physiology of the sliding filament theory.
