Course description: 

The practice of healthcare is changing at a faster rate now than ever before. The technology is improving rapidly, the costs are going up and it looks like these trends aren't changing much in the near future. It may very well be that the USA will soon not be able to pay for all the healthcare it is delivering. All of this change is a foundation for the successful introduction of "Information Technology" into the system. This module will look at the basic drivers of this changing healthcare system with an eye on how Information technology might be able to help.
