This case study provides information about a patient with a cleft lip and palate. The patient's medical history, diagnostic test results and course of treatment are presented and discussed. Detailed information about the pathology, associated ultrasound characteristics, differential diagnosis, and treatment and prognosis are included.

  • Apply useful sonographic views that will help in diagnosing facial clefts and assess their extent.

  • Discuss the appearance of facial clefts on ultrasound.
  • Discuss the advantages and limitations of 3D/4D ultrasound in assessing facial clefts.
