In this remote training the user will review CT Physics and protocol management.  Information will be provided concerning evolution of CT generations, components of the CT x-ray tube, scan parameters and their effect on image quality and dose, and the benefits of isotropic imaging.

Course objectives:

  • Knowledge of the development of the generations of CT and their differences
  • Describe the various scan parameters and their affects on dose, coverage and time
  • Define the resolution parameter and its affect on DFOV
  • Properly use and interpret the CT terminology: image data vs. raw data; original data set vs. derived; reconstruction and reformation
