Course description: 

This course content is designed to provide Computed Tomography (CT) students with a comprehensive knowledge of elementary and advanced principles and practices related to CT imaging. Elements include but are not limited to: Quality assurance competencies, image display and post processing competencies and advanced dose reduction strategies. This course can be used to prepare radiology technologists to take the advanced ARRT CT Registry exam.

  • Image Formation/Production
  • CT Technical Factors and Parameters in CT Image Formation
  • CT Processing and Image Quality Factors and Manipulation
  • Patient Care Assessment and Contrast Agents
  • CT Exams, Procedures , Anatomy Review and Pathology
  • Radiation Dose from CT Imaging
  • CT Image Artifacts
  • CT Competencies (non-patient ARRT approved)
