Register What you will learn Course description: This two-day course is specifically designed for anesthesiologists, cardiologists, and sonographers in gaining the unique guidance and perspective of Evelio Rodriguez, MD, a leading robotic mitral repair surgeon and Director of Cardiac Surgery and Research Institute for Saint Thomas West Hospital (Ascension Health, Inc) in Nashville, Tennessee. Primary technical imaging training and interaction associated with Master Course content is led by Rick Meece, ACS FASE. Attendees will learn the surgeon’s mindset regarding the most relevant needs and techniques for transesophageal perioperative and hybrid structural heart interventional imaging, including transcatheter mitral and tricuspid repair, surgical myectomy, valve in valve, and emerging device implications for transcatheter replacement using advanced imaging modalities. Currency: USDCourse objectives: Upon completion of this course, the learner should be able to: Describe most productive 2D and 3D TEE methods and evaluation for pre-procedural assessment and intra-operative management during and after on-pump via surgical imaging case examples Understand simplified table side calculation methods and advanced software tools for hemodynamic and cardiac performance as compared to direct invasive techniques Discuss various applications for derived information from automated Mitral Valve Analysis (Tomtec MVA) 3D mitral modeling for both surgical and transcatheter mitral repair or replacement. Share updated perspectives and ongoing work regarding the emerging tricuspid transcatheter inventions and specific imaging needs for recruitment and guidance Perform in-depth on-cart and QLAB multi-plane reconstruction techniques for flow calculations, sizing for prosthetic implantations, and post interventional reporting. Explain on-cart settings and presets which provide the most optimized imaging guidance and acquisition quality regarding many of the known surgical and hybrid cardiac procedures Course details Course Code: CV330Delivery method: Instructor-led Language: English Duration: 2 Days Course instructor(s) : Rick Meece ACS RDCS RCIS FASEEvelio Rodriguez, MD, FACP, FACCCourse disclaimer: The content is for information and education only. Audience Audience statement: This course is intended for surgeons, anesthesiologists, cardiologists, and sonographers. Course level: ExpertPrerequisite skills: Experience with system instrumentation and 2D TEE is required for all participants in this program. Introduction to basic use of 3D TTE is strongly suggested for all attendees. We recommend the ACT 3D course as a good prerequisite for Live 3D imaging and instrumentation.
