Course description: 

In this 5 day, instructor-led course, the engineer will learn to work safely on MX16 CT scanners. The engineer will learn to install, calibrate and replace Field Replaceable Units (FRU) as well as system operation, software installation, configuration and calibration processes as well as the interfaces and access methods for Service Tools.

The engineer will have access to a live system, and at the end of the course, will be asked to complete a hands-on demonstration of your capabilities.            

All required materials and detailed instructions are provided by your instructor.

Course objectives: 

Upon succesful completion of the course the engineer will be able to:

  • Describe key system components
  • Demonstrate working safely in and around the MX16 CT systems
  • Demonstrate key system operations
  • Follow Installation instructions to connect the power distribution components of the system
  • Follow the prescribed safety methods to avoid electrical and ESD hazards
  • Demonstrate controller baseboard firmware programming
  • Perform system configuration
  • Demonstrate the procedures to remove, replace and align the Field Replaceable Units
  • Describe communication functions
  • Demonstrate accessing and navigating the Philips Service Tools
  • Identify Field Replaceable Units components
