Course description: 

This course is intended to expand upon the introduction offered by the online “Getting Started” module and teach the basic functionality of the IntelliSpace Portal for NM. This course will assist the customer in understanding the role of the IntelliSpace Portal in the clinical setting and demonstrate the workflow associated with using the system for post-processing and display of NM data. This course is intended to assist the student in being comfortable using and navigating the system, understand the terminology of the workstation and use the factory-supplied applications to post-process so that they are prepared for their training during their handover.

Note: This course is only available with the purchase of the IntelliSpace Portal. Additional hours of education can be purchased: either onsite (IntelliSpace Portal Additional OnSite Education) or remote (IntelliSpace Portal Additional Remote Education).

Course objectives: 

Upon completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Log on to ISP for NM and navigate the main Directory screen
  • Load, manipulate and display images in the NM Viewer application
  • Use AutoSPECT Pro to load, process and display a variety of SPECT studies and datasets
  • Utilize NM Viewer and its included fusion tools to post-process SPECT/CT studies and datasets
  • Recognize the new tools and functionality in AutoQUANT 2012 and describe the basic processing steps for cardiac quantification
  • Perform post-processing in the 2D applications
  • Access and demonstrate the use of the Image Curve and Measurement Tools (ICMT)
  • Discuss the use of the Portal Management tool in different system configurations
  • Summarize the differences between the different models within the BrightView Camera series and identify the different parts of a BrightView camera system
  • Describe the basic configurations and use of the BrightView system
  • Summarize the different types of XCT acquisitions and their clinical use
