Course description: 

This 2 hour course includes lectures and interactive case presentations.
Program topics include a brief review of the lower extremity arterial
anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, comprehensive protocol for
ultrasound evaluation, case correlation with plethysmographic studies,
hemodynamics of the peripheral arteries, diagnostic criteria with case
study correlations including DSA angiography, CTA and MRA, as well as
some of the tools that the EPIQ platform enables for increased clinical
confidence.

Course objectives: 

Upon completion of this course, attendees should be able to:

  • Demonstrate the appropriate knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology and general approach for lower extremity arterial evaluations
  • Demonstrate different imaging protocols and diagnostic criteria used for duplex sonography of the lower extremity arteries and associated vascular structures.
  • Obtain and/or increase confidence to incorporate protocols, techniques, and interpretation criteria to improve diagnostic and treatment accuracy
