This module lays the foundation for understanding proton therapy. You will learn the benefits and unique characteristics of proton therapy, as well as key terminology and components of proton therapy equipment. Proton therapy physics concepts, patient setup and simulation, and the effects of tissue density and beam arrangement also are discussed. This overview wraps up with image-guidance and quality assurance for proton therapy.
