Course objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the learner should be able to:

•Develop crucial cognitive and technical skills for faster and more reliable image acquisition in critically ill patients.

•Adapt POCUS-driven algorithms based on integrated echocardiography and lung ultrasound for cardiocirculatory and respiratory instability in your own scope
of practice.

•Develop technical skills for real-time ultrasound-guided procedures (thoracentesis, pericardiocentesis,
paracentesis, vascular access).

•Acknowledge interchangeable principles and the complementary role of transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography in the critical care setting.

•Understand the evolution from being a POCUS learner to a skilled ultrasonography practitioner.
