Register What you will learn Course description: This 1.5-hour Virtual Speaker-Led Training course designed for sonographers currently working or pursuing a career in Interventional Radiology (IR). To be an effective team member, a good foundation of knowledge is crucial. IR teams provide a large variety of diagnostic and therapeutic interventions requested by multi-disciplinary care teams. Sonographers must understand how to navigate the procedural suite, patient clinical scenario, procedure requested, necessary equipment and the optimal imaging needed to facilitate this. This course is designed to highlight the various clinical and procedural scenarios a sonographer may be presented with while working in the IR suite. Program topics include various procedure types, sedation, commonly used hardware and equipment, transducer selection, sonographic technique, image optimization and peri-procedural workflow.
