Course description: 

Clinical Education Program for Allura Systems:

Handover OnSite Education: Philips Education Specialists will provide twenty-eight hours of education for up to four students, selected by customer, including technologists from night/weekend shifts if necessary. Students should attend all 28 hours, and must include the two OffSite education attendees. CEU credits may be available for each participant that meets the guidelines provided by Philips. Please refer to guidelines for more information. Note: Site must be patient-ready. Philips personnel are not responsible for actual patient contact or operation of equipment during education sessions except to demonstrate proper equipment operation.

Course objectives: 

After completing this course the participant will:

  • Understand the fundamentals of the Allura FD10/10 Cardiac System
  • List basic system hardware and software components
  • Understand components and interfaces
  • Discuss the concept of digital imaging and its application to cardiology
  • Review and demonstrate the clinical application and use (hands-on required)
  • Review safety procedures for equipment

 

Evaluation:  Upon conclusion, the trainee shall have demonstrated the ability to set up and manipulate the system, complete procedures efficiently, display image quality evaluation, and complete the skills checklist.
