This course will provide an overview of the basics of the performance of an early Obstetrical and Gynecological ultrasound exam.  Topics covered include a review of the anatomy, views and measurements required for a complete ultrasound examination of each section.

  • Recognize the different modes of ultrasound imaging
  • Recognize how adjusting basic technical features such as depth, focus, Time Gain Compensation (TGC), and Gain can improve ultrasound images
  • Recognize how adjusting the more advanced technical features can improve ultrasound image quality 
  • Recognize the benefits and utilization of Color Flow Imaging 
  • Recognize the benefits of and utilization of Pulsed Waved Doppler (PW)
