This training is intended to increase your knowledge of Calcium Scoring scanning and post processing associated with iPatient and Incisive scanners.

This is a dynamic educational experience that builds your calcium scoring knowledge and helps you to retain it. During this course, we use various methods to engage you and help you to learn about Calcium Scoring.

Within this course several types of materials are used to encourage learning including: presentations, videos, and an assessment.

After successfully completing this course, you will be able to:

  • Define both Pre-Scan patient preparation and preparation at time of scan.
  • Review what Einthoven’s triangle is in relation to electrocardiograms.
  • Use proper skin prep for lead placements.
  • Describe the difference between AAMI and IEC leads.
  • Identify normal sinus rhythm vs a couple of irregular beats.
  • Identify proper patient positioning on the table and within the bore.
  • Define basic scan parameters that must be used to get adequate results using Agatston protocol.
  • Perform a Dual Surview.
  • Plan Calcium Scoring scan using Surview to plan proper anatomical coverage.
  • Identify 2D vs 3D scan type.
  • Identify Main Coronary Vessels and branches.
  • Identify Post Processing steps for Agatston Protocol using MESA database.
  • Identify Post Processing steps for Mass Score Protocol.
