Course description: 

This 1-hour Virtual Speaker-Led Training course is designed to provide attendees the knowledge and skill to evaluate fetal normal and abnormal heart rate, AV conduction and rhythm and to recognize the more common fetal arrhythmias seen on ultrasound.  Program topics include an overview of various fetal arrhythmias, the methods used to evaluate and diagnose them and the arrhythmias associated with specific congenital cardiac anomalies.

Virtual training is a facilitator-led, live online learning event that is delivered in a virtual environment. Participants can be geographically dispersed and also individually connected. Each learner uses their own computer or other compatible device. Virtual training is synchronous, meaning that participants are connected at the same time as the facilitator.Philips virtual training events typically range from 60-120 minutes in length with a maximum of 10 participants. This socially engaging, purposefully-designed training allows participants the same quality education of an instructor-led classroom without the need or expense of traveling.



Course objectives: 

Upon completion of this course, attendees should be able to:

  • Understand how to perform rhythm assessment using M-mode and Doppler echocardiography
  • Recognize the common types fetal arrhythmias
  • List the arrhythmias of concern with specific cardiac anomalies
