Course description: 

This 1-hour Virtual Speaker-Led Training course is designed to provide customers the knowledge to perform ultrasound of the pediatric abdomen with an emphasis on acute processes.  Program topics include the indications, technique and sonographic anatomy of the pediatric abdomen.   The course will also cover common abnormalities such as appendicitis, hypertrophic pyloric stenosis (HPS) and intussusception encountered during ultrasound evaluation.




Course objectives: 

 Upon completion of this course, attendees should be able to:

  • Understand proper techniques for pediatric abdominal scanning
  • Recognize sonographic anatomy of the pediatric abdomen
  • Identify the common abnormalities of the pediatric abdomen
  • Understand the pitfalls of pediatric abdominal ultrasound
