Course objectives: 

The Clinical Benefits and Overview section will:

  • Describe the clinical benefits of Volume Imaging for OB applications
  • Describe the clinical benefits of Volume Imaging for GYN applications
  • Discuss the clinical utilization of Volume Imaging for OB and GYN applications
  • Discuss various factors that might impact volume imaging quality for OB and GYN applications
  • Review the definition of terms associated with basic volume imaging

The Acquisition Types and Technique section will:

  • Discuss the various acquisition types
  • Review the basic image optimization required for a quality 2D image of the scan area
  • Discuss the Region of Interest (ROI)
  • Review the importance of setting a proper angle prior

The Data Manipulation section will:

  • Review the basic terminology associated with volume imaging data manipulation
  • Discuss the MRP View Planes
  • Review the X, Y, Z rotations
  • Discuss the various 3D controls used to enhance your image
