Program Description

The Philips Certified Professional Program has developed certification examinations to assess your knowledge and skills as a proficient service engineer of Philips MR systems. The current audiences for these certifications are:

  • Philips employees who service MR systems
  • Philips authorized service professionals
  • Philips MR service instructors

Proficient

The Proficient level is the starting point for a Service Engineer who has the education and skills to proficiently service MR systems. It is intended that this person could handle at least 85% of service work orders (SWOs) in planned/preventive maintenance while also handling some less complex corrective maintenance.

After becoming certified, a proficient Service Engineer can be said to have mastered servicing a modality family explicitly defined within the certification program. The certification requires examination mastery on content areas, evaluated performance in the field, and possibly on other conditions determined within the modality family that is important by the governance organization and SE agreement. This competency model includes areas of assessment (domains) which are currently taught but also the competency areas which are recommended by Service Engineers.

Certification Program Design
