Course description: 

This 1.5-hour Virtual Speaker-Led Training course is designed to review ultrasound features seen with abnormal uterine bleeding. It will cover various conditions which cause pre and postmenopausal bleeding.  Multiple case examples of leiomyomas, adenomyosis, polyps, hyperplasia, and malignancy will be reviewed.

Upon completion of this course, attendees should be able to:

  • Understand mapping of location of uterine leiomyomas.
  • Understand the role of endometrial thickness in the initial evaluation of postmenopausal bleeding.
  • Recognize the importance of sonohysterography in the evaluation of space occupying lesions of the endometrium.
  • Recognize the appearance of arterio-venous malformations.
