Course description: 

This course is designed for sonographers and physicians to provide a comprehensive review of the role of ultrasound in liver disease including vascular disease. Topics will include ultrasound technologies of liver elastography, the use of contrast enhanced ultrasound in the liver, as well as the role of ultrasound in Li-Rads.

Upon completion of this course, the learner should be able to: 

  • Discuss the proper technique, sonographic application and interpretation of liver exams
  • Recognize and distinguish between benign and malignant pathology
  • Discuss Couinaud segmental anatomy
  • Discuss liver elastography techniques
  • Discuss the steps needed to perform a liver contrast ultrasound
