Course description: 

This course delivers a dynamic educational experience that not only builds on your system knowledge, but helps you retain it. 

This onsite interactive session intends to assist you in dose reduction strategies at your facility. Your applications specialist will work with your clinical team to help you increase the CT technologists' knowledge of Philips iPatient dose tools and how to manage dose while achieving the preferred level of diagnostic image quality. 

A physician should be available for exam card development to refine image quality, followed by image review to ensure the exam cards are meeting expectations.

This 2-day onsite course includes didactic and hands-on scanning and guidance.



Course objectives: 

After completing this course you will be able to:


  • Demonstrate how to turn on dose tools.
  • Explain dose tools functionality and how they affect image quality.
  • Identify the purpose of dose calculations and dose phantoms.
  • Recognize how and why dose alerts and notifications are used.
  • Demonstrate utilizing dose tools to reduce the dose to patients.
