Course description:

This one-hour session provides a focused review of atrial septal defects in adult patients, with an emphasis on anatomy, hemodynamics, and key clinical considerations. Learners will explore the characteristics and presentation of common ASD types and gain a structured approach to evaluating these defects across various stages of care.

Through case-based examples and imaging analysis, the session highlights the role of echocardiography and complementary imaging modalities in identifying, assessing, and quantifying ASDs—including post-repair evaluation.
