What you will learn

Course description:

This course is designed as an add-on, for those customers that require additional training on the stitching package or those customers that purchase the stitching license as an add-on to their existing system at a date after their initial training.

The purpose of this program is to provide technologists with the ability to understand and execute all basic and advanced functions of the Philips Stitching software.  Training will consist of both didactic and hands on instruction. We will provide theoretical concepts and associated clinical reinforcement of digital radiography.  Technologists will convey this understanding through hands on manipulation, exercises and demonstrations of proper visualization techniques to display the anatomy in question.  Key operators are expected to provide training to additional radiology personnel as well as maintain the system for optimal image quality.

Hands –on:  The clinical education specialist will assist the technologist during practicum to ensure that they are following all of the steps to complete the stitching examination successfully.   The technologists are required to complete at least 3 stitching examinations by themselves to ensure proper knowledge of the processes.

Evaluation:  Upon conclusion, the trainee shall demonstrate the ability to set up and manipulate the system, complete procedures efficiently, and display image quality evaluation through practicum and exercise.  They must also complete the skills checklist.

Clinical Education Program for Stitching and Stitching Upgrade Clinical Education Specialists will provide eight hours of RAD Onsite Education for up to four students, selected by the customer, including technologists from night/weekend shifts if necessary. CEU credits may be available if the participant meets the guidelines provided by Philips. Please read guidelines for more information.

Note: Site must be patient-ready. Philips personnel are not responsible for actual patient contact or operation of equipment during education sessions except to demonstrate proper equipment operation.
