This on-demand course describes what Global Longitudinal Strain (GLS) is and its diagnostic utility. Strain and GLS - On-Demand provides foundational information useful before taking our AutoStrain courses. JASE guidelines recommend, when practical, the use of longitudinal strain imaging (GLS and three-dimensional (3D) evaluation) for ventricular size and function as part of the standard TTE examination.
