Course description: 

This educational activity will review the importance of understanding the use of echocardiography to diastolic function. This class will review the different techniques for evaluating diastolic function along with the physiological basis for the creation of the Doppler flow velocity profiles commonly used in the echocardiographic evaluation of diastolic function. The limitations of techniques, clinical applications and relevant guideline recommendations will also be reviewed
