Course description: 

In this 3 day virtual course, the Hospital Engineer will learn about the Patient Information Center (PIC) iX central monitoring system. It covers the basic operation of the system, installation, maintenance and configuration of the PIC iX application.

This course is a Virtual Classroom Training (VC). This means that you must complete a series of assigned tasks in the virtual classroom, along with out-of-class activities (homework) before you will be considered as trained. The tasks must be completed to the satisfaction of the VC Instructor. All required materials and detailed instructions are provided by your instructor.

The students will have their own online lab system they control to complete the lab activities. Students receive digital class documents via email and will be provided a hard copy of the lab book several days prior the training.

This is class is the equivalent as the ILT (CMS1IL008) PIC iX Biomed Basic Overview.

To successfully interact with the remote systems, students will need: 

  • Quality, reliable internet connection 
  • Laptop/desktop computer or smartphones
  • Dedicated time and workspace: free of distractions 
  • Adequate microphone for interaction with instructor and/or lab partner 
  • Basic PC skills, comfortable using a computer 

Students must complete a series of assigned tasks in the virtual classroom before you will be considered as trained. 

All required materials and detailed instructions will be provided by the VC instructor.
