Educational material will be presented using a moderated, hands-on Porcine Heart Dissection accompanied by corresponding Echo images and clinical correlations. In addition, the fundamentals of 3D ECHO Image Acquisition will be reviewed using both didactics and followed by an in depth demonstration using transthoracic echo on live models. Currency: USDCourse objectives: Recognize orientations of 2D TEE and 3D TEE planes along with anatomical correlations derived from a porcine heart dissection model. Recognize standard Live 3D TEE images using a fully sampled matrix array probe Understand the 2D and 3D TEE appearance of normal and anomalous intracardiac structures along with anatomical correlations using a porcine heart dissection model. Understand the uses and limitations of current Live 3D TEE technology Understand how to obtain and optimize 3D echocardiographic images using both didactics and live model demonstrations.
