Description

This Xper Information Management with HEMO and X3 Biomed (Customer) training course is designed for the Biomed to understand the product from a technical point of view. This course is designed with a theory and practical learning approach, where course participants can learn the product and apply to practically working with it. Course participants will learn the system so to be able to perform computer maintenance and do first-line testing of the XperIM system with HEMO/X3 attachment and serviceability (in-person) and study for the Support tool Biomed License (optional), so to be in line to provide support for Xper Information Management on X3 equipment. The course is tailorable to also reference the FlexCardio as predecessor if required. Specific course topics are, but not limited to:

  • Understanding the XperIM System through physical installation and configuration
  • Cover XperIM system operation and data management, in terms of components and throughput
  • Perform XperIM HEMP/X3 device-specific configurations
  • Testing with HEMO/X3 device using the PRONK simulator, including understanding of ETCO2 calibration.
  • Cover key disassembly and reassembly of the X3 device and learn serviceability – done through either video or practical demonstration (in-person classes only).
  • Understand functions using the Support Tool software – overview and purpose on supporting the X3 device.
  • Pass the written Support Tool assessment to become eligible to acquire the Biomed license through a practical assessment – As an “ add-on” online session, due to time involved for learning the tool, and practical assessment.
  • If FlexCardio is required to be covered, the course will accommodate those students with that requirement

Objectives

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

  1. Describe the function of each component comprising the XperIM system with HEMO and X3, reference to FlexCardio
  2. Describe the system build, with HEMO/X3 attachment
  3. Describe the functional configuration and components of the X3 device
  4. Be able to test the hemodynamic system with X3 using the PRONK simulator, including understanding of ETCO2 calibration
  5. Describe the assembly and disassembly of the X3 unit based on reference to the official Service Guide
  6. Become eligible to acquire the Biomed license through a directed study of the Service Guide for:
  7. Passing the practical assessment toward obtaining the Support Tool Biomed license. The practical assessment will be through a dedicated online session (add-on).
